Carnivals and Festivals

Firstly, thank you for entering my challenge.The surrounding background of Venice behind the model compliments the main focal point- that of the carnival woman. It is extremely well executed as is slightly blurred so as not to distract us from our main point of interest. The colours of her outfit and that of the gentle background compliment each each in an astounding fashion. Once again we also have to ask ourselves that which the mask does not reveal- what exactly could she possibly be hiding behind the mask- there is no insight to her feelings, emotions or thoughts without trying to read the windows of the soul- her eyes. Congrats and well done!

Firstly, thank you for entering my challenge. The most impressive fact here is the usage of the brilliant, bright and bold colours .The creative idea of using fruit as a headpiece also makes one linger longer than usual on the image due to the bizarre nature of the placement. The colour of her outfit compliments the colour of the fruit in perfect fashion adding even more brilliance to an already bold image. the choice of a more subtle sky is a great choice not distracting one from the main object- the model Last but not least is the make-up which is also a perfect choice for the image and fits perfectly with the overall appeal. Congrats and well done!

Firstly, thank you for entering my challenge. The image tends to provoke feelings from the medieval times when men dressed to care The choice of black works perfectly providing a darker, sinister approach in viewing the image. This , however, seems to slightly contradict the expression on his face, which in my opinion is of a more gentle nature. The make up works well and draws one into the eyes in an attempt to dare the onlooker to try read his thoughts, feelings and emotions. The slight touch of grey in his hair, facial make-p and feathers tend to provide a softer feel against the stark black- thus balancing out the image Congrats and well done!

Firstly, thank you for entering my challenge. The softer , gentler pastel colours of pink and gold compliment each other extremely well here - this provides a more serene, feminine approach to the model. The mask and jewels also tend to compliment her outfit well and blend in without distracting from her outfit The question which one may ask , however, - is what exactly lies behind the mask? What could she possibly be thinking or hiding is unknown to us- we can only glimpse into her eyes for a slight hint of her emotions,thoughts and feelings.Congrats and well done!
