Eye catching image with the car positioned in a good position in its own space and not breaking into the text. The text giving a strong clue as to the cars location. The colour palette on the car is complimentary to the building and is pleasing on the eye. The decay of the car matching well with the decay of the building. The top left of the frame is distracting with the trees and metal bars, so perhaps a better shooting position may have helped alleviate this. Overall a striking image with a strong graphic element.
Stand out image of the competition. Bags of impact that immediately caught my attention, and then lots to admire as I looked around the image. The low angle the image has been taken from adds power to the car and the superb details captured really is a joy to the eye. The composition is strong and the car is positioned perfectly in the frame. The colour palette throughout is complimentary and the supporting elements to the car work brilliantly well. The position of the man works well and his expression is priceless. The corrugated background verticals are all good and the number 5 adds to the overall look and adds impact. A slither of wood protrudes from the mans right side along the bonnet top, that removed could possibly improve the image further along with some of the stones under the car, but lets be honest, I am nitpicking for what is a fabulous image.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 1 and 250 in this week’s Leaderboard.** These last 100 or so years have seen our world transformed by many things, and not least the car. Whilst 1886 is credited as its birth year, courtesy of German inventor Carl Benz, it wasn’t until the Ford Model T rolled off the lines in 1908 that automobile ownership for the masses started in earnest. As the new era of electric cars picks up pace, let’s see how you’ve photographed cars of any era, and their impact on our lives.
An unusual image and one that is very well executed. The colour of the sand, sea and the car all work well and is pleasing on the eye. The composition is good and the position of the car in the frame is just perfect. The shadow detail is superb, and very cleverly done. This has been no accident, this image has been planned out well, resulting in this super picture. Looking at the car, my eye wandered to the shadow which revealed the hatchback being open and a person standing there, which wasn't initially obvious looking at the car. Technically perfect and a touch of beautiful creativity. The single tyre tracks indication that this image was a one off take. Simplicity in its conception, resulting in high impact with creativity. Beautiful image.
