I appreciate the storytelling in the image, with the photographs on the tie both telling us something about the human's relationship to the dog, and contrasting with the dog's expression. Thank you for submitting this image. It stood out straight away as a strong documentary image of a cat. I like that the immediate focus is on the creature on the wall, before noticing the cat fully, adding tension and drama to the frame. The cat appears to be still, but its shadows on the wall add a sense of movement, building the tension further. The dramatic lighting and contrasting lines work very well with the black and white toning. Congratulations on your placing and well done Willow!
