Ceiling Architecture

It was a tough competition to judge as there were many church ceilings. I think this photo is unique and original and so it stood out from the rest . I particularly like the subdued lighting which highlights the texture of the stone ceiling. The angle of the shot enhances the composition and adds interest to the viewer.

This photo is taken at a clever angle to capture a great combination of colours, shapes and textures. The lift shafts draw the eye to the unusual lighting feature at the top. The subtle light creates interesting shadows and highlights throughout. I could look at this photo for hours!

This was a stand out photo! The bold blue colour of the spheres draws the eye in immediately. The composition is excellent. The clever angle and use of light creates interesting shapes which draws the eye to the skylight above.

This is an amazing photo! There were many symmetrical images entered but this one stands out. The use of black and white defines the geometrical shapes and highlights the different textures. The skillful positioning of the airplane completes the composition perfectly.

I like the clever use of perspective to draw the eye in. It was unique in the competition as it shows modern architecture but it has an industrial feel. The use of black and white shows off the lines and shapes in the building making an interesting composition.
