Chandeliers and light fittings

May 2022

The colours on this are amazing, instantly jumps off the page and draws the eye!

I like how you have framed it, a good example of the rule of thirds and leaves enough background there to show off those great colours!

I hovered over making this first place for quite a while but the more I looked at it the more I think it's a great image.

The light instantly attracts your eye and draws you in to fit the brief but then the white of the gentleman in the front draws you down and the young boy looking back at the photographer is absolutely fantastic!

This is a great image!

Love the simplistic nature of this shot, really stands off from a lot of the other entries because of it.

The limited use of colours but control of the colours which are in the image really make it pop.

I would have liked you a step to the left just to separate that back light and put the front light on a line of thirds but it's a nice shot!

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 1 and 250 in this week’s Leaderboard.** From the most elaborate, sparkling chandeliers, to simple, exposed light bulbs, light fittings are one of the final touches added to an interior design. They can be dominant, sculptural features, perfected most recently by Dale Chihuly with his colourful blown-glass sculptures, or they can stick more to their practical purpose of lighting a space.
