When I created this contest about childhood memories, I was looking forward to see interesting images and read nostalgic stories, and you clearly accomplished both purposes. This is such a “different” image and a very touching story. I have never seen fish hanging to dry before, and I love the textures of the fish, pointed out by the backlight. It sounds like this was a memorable trip for you and your dad, and I’m thankful you shared with us these private moments of life. It’s amazing how we link the people we love to simple objects, in our memories forever. Congratulations on your 3rd.. place, well done.

What a sweet collection of images; clearly you loved playing cards with your grandma. I like the fact that you put togheter all these photos, showing her personality, especially the one on the right, with the cigarillo. I definitely LOVE the photo in the middle!
