Cold Places

I liked this image but felt it would have been improved by cropping out some of the rather bland sky. This would have given more impact to the houses and fences in the village., which in my opinion could make for a better picture.

Nice image, but almost too posed. The jeans and lack of gloves means it couldn't have been as cold as it might have been. However, would do well in a different set subject, where they wasn't so much emphasis on the title of "Cold Places".

I've only this phenomena once and that was during a journey home from Antarctica as we were passing through the Drake Passage. It was an amazing sight. You are very fortunate to have seen this rare phenomena called a "22° halo.

I love the viewpoint and the Aurora through the gap is a bonus. However, my eye keeps being drawn to whatever it is in the bottom left hand corner. I just can't avoid keep looking at it. So for that reason the image wasn't commended. Not sure how or if it can be removed. Perhaps you have some more images you took at the time that haven't got this in them.
