Coloured Minimalism

I found this image so well crafted and composed so that it is difficult to tell where reality begins and ends. The geometric shapes fit into the frame perfectly to achieve a well balanced three dimensional composition. This is further enforced by the strong central complementary turquoise blue and the sunlight on the foreground wall. The sky also adds realism and depth to the scene. If this was missing or blocked out the image would be flatter and less realistic. A wonderful compelling image, well done and congratulations on being my number one selection.

I like the simplicity of this image. Instead of straight line geometry we have curved geometry. I think that the image has been cropped to show in more detail the beauty of oil in water and this works to its full advantage. The quarter quadrant is always a good foundation for an interesting composition. There is a nice graduation of color with enough detail in the bubbles to give them a spherical appearance. A very clever and subtle image inspired by the curve of an arch. The color palette and blending of this abstract I found to be perfect. For me it is an image that you have to consider slowly, taking in the shape, composition and color. The complementary colors are gentle and blend into the white perfectly. The composition is excellent with lines leading from two corners and the central element forming an elliptical circle. A remarkable abstract, well done and congratulations on making my top ten selection.

A very interesting and somewhat complex study of railings and shadows. The v shape composition works very well with the rail and the hard light shadows. Interesting that the wall is actually white and is converted to orange with the sun to give a nice warm feel. Well spotted and composed and congratulations on making my top ten selection.
