Colourful Composites

Lovely picture. I love the beautiful colours and the composition. I would have preferred it if the sharpenings were also coloured but that is the photographers choice. Also a white border may have helped to bring more perspective to the image on the black background. But well done, lovely shot!

What a wonderfully striking image and eccentric enough to be my number one. The vibrant colours and the distant melancholic look on the hatter's face make for a brilliant shot.The dishevelled hair, the grungy coat and bow-tie add to the feel of this image. I love the subtle bokeh in the background and the crop is superb. Colourful and expressive.

This picture was a stand out. It is such a lovely capture of colour. The brilliance of the colours and the subtle texture on the walls and shutters make it pop.The colours are wonderfully contrasting. The only slight drawback is the glare in the top left corner, but all in all a picture which really pleases the eye. Well done!

This is not usually the type of picture I would rate in a colour competition, but I felt drawn to it.. The contrast of broccoli against a pink background is very esoteric, but I am a sucker for the unusual and for the colour pink, so it was a natural choice. Well done, well thought out composition, though I doubt broccoli flavoured ice-cream is ever going to be a hit!
