I love the perspective of this image. A very unique and well thought out viewpoint has earned you a well deserved place in the top 10. I love the composition which is being led by this concrete pipe into an image which tells a very strong story. The monochrome conversion is great, well handled, creating what I believe is to be a very timeless picture - for example it could have been taken last week or in New York in the 1930's. Great work, well done!

This is a well captured image, great timing in terms of weather conditions, lighting and placement of people and subjects. I like the composition and the way the image fades up to nothingness through the mist as you move through the image. Great work here, well done!

This image shows the raw gritty nature of construction and absolutely hit the brief in this competition. What I like the most is the attention to detail, so rather than going for the big construction site image you have cleverly used the puddle to reflect the crane and kept the bags of cement in the image to complete the story - a well composed and thought out image. Well done!

Another great example of daring to be different. It is so easy to try and take in the bigger wide approach when shooting construction sites, but the images with smaller more focused details tell a very different story. This image is great, I love the way the silhouette has been captured, delivering a very minimal crisp image which has been superbly converted to monochrome. The timing is great leading to strong composition and placement of the human figures. Well done!

What stood out for me was the lovely blue tones of the office block creating a stark contrast with the crane reflection. The glass shapes and crane have very striking shapes telling a story of completed building and arrival of newness. Great work, well done!

A well deserved winner here. Absolutely nailed the brief and made the gritty dirty work of construction into a work of art. I love the simplicity and minimalist approach which paints such a beautiful mystical image. The composition is fantastic, with the first crane drawing your eye and then leading you in to the remaining cranes and bridge towers. Great work, well done!

This could be straight from the 2018 JCB catalogue, an absolutely great image which screams quality and detail. The fact it was taken on a car park in Snowdonia is great, it looks like it is form a studio shoot from the lighting and the way you have managed the post processing - well done. Wow, this image screams scale! A mega construction image. We had quite a few images like this entered into the competition, focused on various buildings and bridges, however the choice to take this at night with fantastic lighting and composition made this stand out from the crowd. Well timed, great composition and fantastic subject. Well done!
