An image that grabbed me straight away. I deliberated long and hard over it's eventual placing. I love the soft overtones with the colour saturation and composition both being spot on. A few of us can get over-preoccupied with bringing out detail in the darker areas of our images - I know I can - but I think you've got it just right here. Well done and many thanks for entering.
As I was scrolling through the images - and this one came up - it was a bit of a 'wow' moment. This is a very striking image indeed. I love the detail and colours - particularly the contrast of the blue that runs throughout this picture. The sharpness is excellent and it is straight (you may smile, but so many images entered into this competition are not). Well done and many thanks for entering.
This, in my opinion, is a very clever and nicely observed image of something that most of us would consider day to day/run of the mill. It appears to have been taken with a telephoto lens, as opposed to a wide angle. I very much like the processing and I think the colours work very well indeed. Very nice. Many thanks for entering.

Another image that stood out for me. Again, I love the processing that gives it a slightly 'old' feel and the colour of the wood blends perfectly with the cream walls and the carpet with those bright red/pink lines. You can literally smell the atmosphere in this picture and that is one mark of an excellent picture. Well done and many thanks for entering.

There were a good few images entered into this competition that, despite the brief, failed to meet it. This, in my opinion, is one such image. For sure, it is a fairly competent picture that depicts a crypt but it is not a corridor. The composition, I feel, would greatly benefit from some cropping in order - primarily - to rid the image of the rather distracting white light towards the top right hand corner.

A corridor is defined as a long passage within a building from which a number of doors will lead off into other rooms. Photographs entered into this competition will have been taken inside a building, so no exterior shots please, unless - on the rare occasion - it has been taken in a derelict building for which a roof no longer exists. If you can come up with something that exhibits leading lines and which disappears into the distance you could be onto a winner. I would also request the crowd raters to remember this brief and to treat shots that plainly do not meet the brief accordingly.
