This is not only creative but also amusing. The caption/title you have given to this image is perfect. You can really feel that’s what the dog is saying. The positioning of the dog in the frame is great and the dog is pin sharp. You have also kept the background beautifully clear. A very nice image, well done.
This is cute and creative at the same time. Despite a bright day you have held the lighting brilliantly. I love the single paw being up by the dog’s face as it has, for me, aided the ‘I miss you’ feel to the image. It is pin sharp as well. I like the shadow across the dog’s face too. Very well done.
This image really shows your titles’ meaning well. The dog really does look a little sheepish as it has done something not right. I love how you have chosen to show this in black and white as it aids the mellow mood. Though the dog is in the dog house this for me has turned out to be a rather charming image. I love the eyes which are 100% pin sharp. I really like the position of the paws on either side of its nose.
Wow, your title says all there is to be said really. A very deep thinking image that shows great emotion. Having little in the background to distract your eye is wonderful but it’s great to see a little detail though. You have held the blacks really well to keep the fur detail in it. The eyes are 100% pin sharp as is the rest of the dog. A very nice provocative image. Very well done.
This is a cute creative dog portrait. The way the dog seems to be smiling at the same time as being in a way apprehensive as his owner leaves is so sweet. I love the framing of the dog and how the wood has slightly obscured one of the dog’s eyes. This image is sharp throughout and has great tones and contrast. Well done.
This is a lovely warming image. To see a horse allowing a dog to rest on its back shows great trust. The dog looks so happy sat there as well. I like how you have chosen to show this in black and white as I feel it adds more emotion to the image. You have technically got everything 100%. It’s also pin sharp. The positioning of the dog is great as well. I don’t mind not seeing what the dog is looking at as it adds a little mystery to the image. A very well captured, creative dog portrait.

For this contest I am looking for creative portraits of dogs. You can show just one dog or several dogs in the image. Try to capture the dogs from a different perspective or maybe an unusual angle or view point. You may also decide to show the dog in an unusual setting. Entries can be in colour or black and white. Be creative and try something new and different in your dog portrait image.
