Very creative use of a slow enough shutter speed to blur the cyclist but still capture the crowd sharp. The variety of facial expressions is wonderful and produces such a feeling of the atmosphere of the event.  I think this image is a great example of what can be achieved with a compact camera.

I love the action and buzz of this crowd photo. The movement of the people coming and going who are all unaware of this moment being captured by you and your camera. I do think the color saturation is a little over the top. One day I'd love to join this crowd to visit the golden rock!

Great timing and composition. You have truly captured the most important moment. I love the arms and eyes and smiles in this group. The amount of background blur is perfect as it provides good context without the crowd being a distraction from your main subject.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 251 and 1000 in this week’s <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/photographer-community/">Leaderboard</a>.** Crowd scenes of the human kind (which we’re focussing on here) have been more difficult to come across these last two years, so this ranked contest may be a bit of a delve into the archive. There’s something uniquely interesting about us when we get together in large groups - it’s an opportunity for comparisons of look, attitude, expression and dress, and to observe different behaviours, and the arenas in which we congregate.
