First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is amazing! I love the damselfly, since it has just emerged, it is so white which looks really cool. Also, since the shell from when it was a nymph is in the photograph, that makes it even better! And the last thing I wanted to say is that since this photo is so unique and perfectly captured, it was a PERFECT finale for my Top Ten... Perfect to finish it off! So awesome job on this photo and taking a photo good enough for 10th Place.
First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is totally fabulous! I love the atmosphere of the photo. It looks other-worldly which looks really cool. The plant is also really cool since it is blue! And the last thing I wanted to point out is the damselfly! It looks so spindly like a tiny twig! The wings are small, the tail is small, the legs are small, and the head is small! EVERYTHING IS SMALL!!! That is what made this photo so interesting because usually damselflies are thin, but not THIS thin! So amazing job on this photo and taking a photo good enough for Third Place!
First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is gorgeous. I love the dreamy atmosphere, it looks great and also makes it look other worldly. Also, the little plants that the damselfly is on looks cute and cool. And the last thing I wanted to point out is the damselfly!!! It looks so unique with a red eye, blue wings, and an orange body! It is multicolored which is really cool! So amazing job on this photo!
First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is really cool. I like the yellow circle in the middle of the background, it makes the photo a lot more cool looking! Another thing that is cool is the damselfly because of the detail on its wings, and that its body is colorful in just one tiny little spot over by its head! So awesome job on this photo and taking a photo good enough for Ninth Place!
First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is cool. I like the colors of the damselfly. The flowers look really nice and it is cool how little they are. I also like the wings! The camera focused on the wings of the damselfly and that is actually good because it shows so much detail! There are so many lines, twists, turns, curves, etc. The whole image is tremendous! So wonderful job on this photo!
First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is very cool. I really love that the damselfly is by water and in this unique position because it is weird that a damselfly would crawl down a rock to go by the water... I wonder if it was ready to drink the water! Another thing that is very cool is the damselfly's curious and happy face. It has a completely different expression than any other damselfly photo in this contest. That is the main reason why I like it so much. And the last thing I wanted to point out is the reflection!!! It looks very cool and those little white lines everywhere (whatever they are) make the reflection look really cool too! So amazing job on this photo and taking a photo good enough for Fifth Place!
First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is unique and interesting. I love the background, there is so many shapes and patterns back there. The little plant is cool and it looks like the damselfly is almost heavy enough to bend it all the way over! And the last thing I wanted to point out is the damselfly! It is so BLUE and looks like a BLUE light was beaming right on it!!! So tremendous job on this photo and taking a photo good enough for Seventh Place!
First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is amazing. I love the damselfly's cute and curious face. It is even cuter that he really looks like he is saying "Hi!" His eyes look amazing too! They are so big and boggley that they look like they are ready to pop right out of his head!!! And the last thing I wanted to point out is how the damselfly is blue on its head, but white on its legs! This is a cool color change in just one little area! So tremendous job on this photo and taking a photo good enough for Second Place!
First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is awesome. I love the quality of the photo. I also like the pink background, it is a unique and interesting color for a background. And the last thing I wanted to point out is the damselfly because of how its wings are orange at the bottom, and black on top! So amazing job on this photo and taking a photo good enough for Eighth Place!
First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is tremendous! I love how the damselfly looks like it is rolling its eyes! The blue on the damselfly looks gorgeous as well! Another thing that is cool is the green everywhere, the green stem blends in so much that if it was any lighter green, you might only barely be able to see it! Really the only two colors are green and blue except for the little bits of black that is spread out. And the last thing I wanted to point out is the unique perspective you have taken of this damselfly because most people take pictures from the side or front of a damselfly, but not in front and towards the side. There are a few photographs like this, but not a real lot. So amazing job on this photo!!!
First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is totally amazing!!! I love how clear and sharp the photo is, it is one of those focus-stacked images that looks so in focus, it is almost TOO in focus! Another thing that is amazing is that you made sure to fit the entire damselfly in the frame, this contest was for Damselflies in Close Up (no extreme macro shots.) This photo is macro but has the entire damselfly in the frame which is exactly the kind of entry I was looking for. Another thing that is cool is all of the hairs on the damselfly's legs. You can see them so clearly and perfectly. And the last thing I wanted to point out is the damselfly! Its wings, body, eyes, tail, and everything else is just amazing. The wings look like stained glass. The body is super colorful in just that one little spot. Its eyes are big and look really cool. And its tail is so long. So fabulous job on this photo and taking a photo good enough to be my First Place Winner!!!
First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is really cool! I love the atmosphere and quality. The damselfly's body colors are very cool and interesting, they also match the flower! Speaking of the flower, it looks very nice. Another thing that is cool is the damselfly's eye! Damselflies have such cool looking big eyes! So amazing job on this photo and taking a photo good enough for Sixth Place!

First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is totally awesome! I love how the background has different colors. The top is whiteish green. Under that is green. Under that is whiteish green again. Then under that is yellow green! It is very interesting how this showed up, I am curious to know what was back there! The stick looks cool since it is completely different from everything else. it stands out, and is the only thing in the entire photograph that is not colorful! It is crazy to have a photograph be just all color but this one sure is! And the last thing I wanted to point out is the damselfly! It has so much color it looks like its body and tail is reflecting colors from somewhere else! It is incredible that one little bug can have that much amazing color on its body! So fabulous job on this photo!!!

First of all, thanks for entering my contest. This photo you have taken here is awesome. I love the plant, it looks really cool and looks big compared to the small damselfly. The striking blue color of the damselfly is also cool. You must have brightened that blue because it really pops! And the last thing I wanted to point out is the really dark green. It was very ideal to have a green background (not that you purposely had a dark green background but got lucky instead) because it made the plant and the damselfly really stand out! So amazing job on this photo!

In this contest, I would like to see your best close-up photos of damselflies. Please try to show all or most of the damselfly in the shot, not extreme macro shots where just the head or wing etc. is visible. Dragonflies are not accepted in this contest, so please make sure your photos are of damselflies. Damselflies have slimmer bodies than dragonflies and at rest generally hold their wings close alongside their abdomen, whereas a dragonfly will usually rest with its wings at right-angles to the body. I hope you have fun with this contest.
