Another image that fits the "Decor patterns" brief perfectly. The colours are subtle and strongly abstract and your description also fits the brief. Congrats on your top 10.

A wonderful contemporary, geometric image. On reading your description I was surprised that this was in fact wallpaper and not perfectly placed tiles. The light switch enhances the image beautifully. Congrats on your top 10 position.

A very interesting ceiling decor and an image I found very appealing. Well done on your top 10 finish

I found this interpretation to "Decor patterns" quite delightful. I am sure that these happy little monkeys used as cushion covers would add a sense of playful warmth to anyone's decor. Congrats on your top 10 finish.

I loved the quirky style in this submission of 1950's curtains. Definitely "hang these up and put on some jazz" is a great description and I hope those "cool cats" are enjoying themselves as much as I did viewing this image...Well done.

Thank you to everyone who submitted.

Congratulations on an image with subtle colours, beautiful detail and textures. I felt I could almost reach out and touch this or feel it under my feet. My number ONE choice. Well done.

A very striking interpretation to the "Decor patterns" contest. The image is composed with rich detail and intricate textures. I assume it is a detail of the ceiling in the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. You have captured the incredible workmanship beautifully, so congratulations on finishing in the top 10

The slight, soft graininess and fan-like quality in this image of a Medieval ceiling was all it needed to make it into a top 10 spot. Well done on a capture of Medieval splendour.

Congratulations on an image full of vibrancy, with charming patterns and colour, enhanced by a tiny figure seemingly surveying the scene.

This image was very different to many submitted, but timber has been used for centuries in many ways. You have captured a small section of the Pink House and shown the texture and detail in a very creative way.

Another wonderful interpretation of decor patterns. This has richness and definitely a Spanish "feel" as the central pattern explodes out to the edges revealing beautiful reds and small blue stars. Congrats.

See more contest details

I view many beautiful images on Photocrowd of stately homes with rooms full of fascinating decor, textures and patterns, so in this contest I would love to see more photos relating to "that" theme. BUT the difference is that the pattern MUST fill the full frame. Patterns from wallpaper, curtains, cushions, rugs, carpets, shower-curtains can be included. The list is endless really. It doesn't have to be stately homes, it can be your grandmother's table-cloth or a child's bed cover, but it must fill the full frame. Can you also give a brief description as to what the image represents, eg: Shower-curtain, wall-paper etc. COLOUR ONLY and Triptych's are allowed. ENJOY!!
