Well I could not have asked for a more expressive face. Wonderful image, perfect for the job. As unhappy as he appears, I can not help but smile every time I look at this image. Completely deserved winner of this contest, Well done indeed, and thank you for entering.

A genuine piece of art. The capture is fabulous, and the detail remarkable. More than a look, the dog has a glare, and an element of confusion or disappointment.. Fascinating portrait. The golden patch of glowing hair beneath the face is like the plinth of a trophy, and plays perfectly with the eye colouring. Thank you very much for entering. Brilliant work!

I love the focus and bokeh of this image. The composition is really effective in highlighting the pallid colours of the dogs hair (coat). That said, what really caught my attention was that it reminded me of a muppet, Rowlf the laid back pianist dog with his blank staring eyes. It makes me smile every time I see it, so thank you very much for entering!
