Doors and entrances

I really liked this image as I feel that the choice of the photographer to use a square crop makes the composition more intimate. I like the choice of subject and the movement of curtain which brings a softness against the walls and shutters. The image captures the 'gust' of wind wonderfully.

I really liked the photographers composition and use of negative space which I feel captures stillness and emptiness setting a mood for the viewer. The light drawing attention to the door way is subtle and effective which provides a visual narrative. A worthy winner.

I was drawn to this entry due to the graphic simplicity of the image. I really like that the photographer choose to have the image fade to black as this brings drama and interest. The pop of yellow on the steps works really well. The black of the door is tiny bit noisy but this could be due to the original image being much larger and this being a crop.
