Ouch! That does not look like fun, but you’ve artfully captured the decisive moment and a real sense of power. The sweat and blood flying from the impact are gruesomely well rendered, and your choice of a fast shutter speed (1/800 sec) and high ISO has helped freeze the action perfectly.

Wow, the energy in this scene is stunning. Clever use of 1/40th of a second has captured just the right amount of movement, and the blue hues also add to the dynamic drama of the scene. This is an accomplished image, well done.

Not only has the dancer been artfully captured in mid-air, it's also been done in the street. I love the incongruity of this, and it's great to see a classic dance shot like this taken outside of the studio. The hard lighting and dark background add to the dynamic energy.

This is an enchanting and interesting take on the subject. The position of the figure, more or less completely horizontal in the frame, naturally has a dynamism, but I also like the tension the close proximity of the diver's fingers to the edge of the frame creates. For many this might be a touch too close to the edge, but for me it's spot on.

The powerful sense of destruction is perfectly articulated in this striking image. The timing and decisive moment are skillfully captured, creating an artful composition of a fleeting instant in time. The light is beautifully observed, too, with lovely complementary colours vibing off one another.

The relationship between the various elements works beautifully in this bold, confident capture. The protagonist, with V-shaped legs, the basketball, and the hoop all contribute to a dynamic story, firmly anchored by the line of dark trees at the bottom of the frame. I like the heavy monochrome treatment, which adds further impact to the image.

The interaction between the two birds helps elevate this wonderful image. I also love the way you’ve shot towards the light (contre-jour), creating a beautiful rim light and a sense of translucence in the feathers. The blurred background has a lovely hue and works perfectly.

It’s hard enough to get a good shot of a surfer, but to capture one with such a tight, eloquent, and considered composition is quite an accomplishment. Beyond the framing, the surfer’s expression adds depth to the story, and the colour palette is the icing on the cake. Well done.

Wow, the painterly, brush-like swirls of colour that the movement of the lilac is making in the blowing wind is sublime. I love the colour palette, the energy and the overall aesthetics. All in all, this is a cracking shot, well done.

This is perhaps the most unusual and striking image of golf I’ve ever seen. What a brilliant idea, executed perfectly. The energy and beautiful shape of the sand is captivating, and the slow reveal of the golf ball and club completes the story. Good work.

This is a great example of a long-exposure light trail image. The impressionistic vibe of the landscape as rendered through the movement is awesome. The light trails from the other cars' headlights add an edge, and the use of the rear-view mirror, car window and steering wheel add to the story as well as working as a good frame within a frame.

The dynamic composition in this stunning shot is amazing. I love that there is space among the craziness of the birds for the fisherman to occupy, and that their movement, in different directions, creates a sense of harmony in the avian chaos, but also adds to the story. The black-and-white treatment has been skilfully handled, producing lovely tones in the documentary tradition.

Dynamism is defined as ‘vigorous activity and progress’ which gives a broad scope for photographic interpretation in this contest. We hurl ourselves and our machines around in many different ways nowadays, as do many other creatures and things of this world.

I love the narrative element in this gripping, dynamic scene. I’m not sure what the backstory is, but that doesn’t matter—there’s enough here to spark the imagination. The low angle works well, adding to the tension. Good work. Keep it up.

I love the sense of movement you’ve managed to evoke. The elegant use of horizontal lines complements the sleek design of the bullet train and amplifies the impression of high-speed travel. The monochrome treatment has been handled skillfully. Kudos to you!

Excellent use of the panning technique to capture this sports car. The motion-blurred background creates a great separation from the main subject and enhances the sense of speed and movement. It’s not an easy technique to master, so kudos for nailing it.
