Teaching the young is always an important thing to do, but to capture it in a raw format where no one is pulling a smile for the camera is special. The small crowd of headless people really allows you to focus in on the paramedic teaching the young boy, but still makes the image look busy and full of life.

Firefighters showing true bravery here when tasked with putting out a true force of nature. To volunteer, or be paid to, walk into a collapsing building full of toxic gas and incredible heat is a tough job. This image displays, to me at least, the bravery and heroism of fire fighters.

The best thing about this image is its simplicity. It has told the view everything by revealing nothing. From a quick glance, we know that that it is a fire truck, and that we are in New York. This image is very beautiful.

Sometimes we see the sad site of a police car with the lights flashing stuck in traffic but, this car is stuck at a level crossing. The beautiful quality in this is that it shows no one is allowed to jump the lights at a level crossing, not even with the blue lights.

Your best images of the emergency services in action or at work! I want to see the blue lights going or simply the police patrolling the streets, what ever it is I want to see your best image of the fire brigade, police and ambulance service at work. Doctors at work in hospitals count as they save lives.
