Wonderful image, expressing discontent in the most graphic manner possible.. The two finger salute is something that is slowly disappearing from British culture, which is in some ways a pity. It expresses without the need to revert to raising voices or using insults. The use of black and white works perfectly and enhances the feel of the image. Wonderful work, thank you for sharing it

I expected selection of the best image to be a tough job, in reality I think the top three basically selected themselves, and your photo is the perfection depiction of all the elements I was looking for in an emotive image The capture of "the moment" is tremendous, the lighting, composition, and ambience all contributing to making such a wonderfully expressive image. There are so many things to be drawn to, from the muddy water frozen in time as she emerged from the pit, to the camouflaged trousers that provide the contrast to her dark clothing.
