Eyeglasses and Spectacles

What a fun photo. The sublte colors all working together. The soft edit works really well with keeping the face and eyeglasses clearly in focus. This image has a nice painting feel to it. Those eyes peeking over the top of the glasses. Oh my they have a lot of stories to be told. My favorite thing about photography is the story that images provide. I am then attracted to the perfect combination of softness of the border and the clear detail surrounding the sunglasses. I was drawn to this image immediately. The fact that his glasses were sitting crooked is what drew me in. When you see how the glasses are being held together, that's were the story is really told. Thank you for your entry. This image just kept calling me back. The sunglasses and smiles were what grabbed my attention most. You capture true happiness in this beautiful photo. Their wardrobe works very nicely with the background to keep it pleasing to the eye. If I had to change anytning, I would have cloned the wooden object out of the left side of the photo and behind the subjects. It is a bit of a distraction. Cool Monk is right. You captured him perfectly. The glasses caught my attention right away, but the colors are just so attractive in this image. I love how the reds and browns compliment each other to create such a nice portrait. The use of texture works so well and ties all of it together. This contest was all about eyeglasses and spectacles. Well, this image represents very well. The sunglasses with the reflection just can't be denied. I could not glance passed this image because that umbrella being reflected kept catching my eye. Nice focus on the glasses with just enough of the bald head to leave you intrigued. The background would work nicely as a solid black as I find the waffle texture a bit disctracting but not enough to hinder the image. Thank you for your submission.

I am immediately attracted to the vintage look of this image. A bit of grunge and steampunk style. I love the use of texture as it completes the whole feel of the photo. I was drawn in and the closer I looked, I realized he was looking back and rather intentently. The dark to light fade across the image adds just the right feel. Great entry. This is a photo that i just kept coming back to. It represents the category very well. The eyeglasses are on display as a tack sharp image. The backdrop works so well with the colors in the eyeglasses while allowing them to pop. This could work nicely for an ad. The light is beautiful and serves this image well.
