The family trust you and feel comfortable in your presence, which makes them far more relaxed in front of the camera and makes a better portrait. Your subjects look happy and content, which draws the viewer in. Shooting in their home adds context and paints an honest picture of their lifestyle. Using the natural light from the entrance was a good decision, flash would have been too intrusive. I like the warm tones in the image, it reflects the cosiness of the room with the fire roaring away. Overall, an excellent family portrait!
