Flower Landscapes

This photo caught my eye from the beginning. I like the flowers and colours in the foreground and the dramatic mountain landscape behind, which fit the theme well. It reminded me of something out of Lord of the rings. Well done for the second place.

I loved this photo of the lovely early morning light in these bluebell woods. The misty atmosphere around the trees in the background is magical. It fit the competition well with the many bluebells through the scene within the woodland landscape. A worthy winner, well done.

One of my favoruites of the highly commended, narrowly missing out on a top ten. It caught my eye from the start, as the title says, standing out from the crowd. I like how the in focus sun flower standing high, draws attention and the depth of field used blurs the remainder of the scene into the background.

Loved this classic wildflower meadow. The conditions are spot on with the blue sky, clouds and great light on the flowers. There is a great contrast in colour from the various flowers in view. This fit the contest them well with rolling landscape behind the flowers.
