When I saw this image, I couldn't help but smile, as the laughter and high spirits in this photo are really infectious. Another great entry that shows the fun-side of fundraising. You beautifully captured this unguarded moment of pure enjoyment. The fact that all this fun raises vital funds for deserving charities, is almost a sideshow.
A very quiet, but emotive image, showing that for many people fundraising for a charity is very personal. Knowing someone who is affected by the cause of the charity is highly motivating and often helps in channelling the feelings of helplessness and despair into organised and structured ways of helping others affected. Thank you.
Fundraising can take many different forms and not everyone is able to take part in runs, swims or other sporting activities. Fundraising also doesn't need to be done on a large scale, every bit of money raised helps. This is a very good example of a small stall with home-produced goods, lovingly made, that is just as important as the big headline events, just not quite so photogenic.
Let it be fun!!! Even though the causes for fundraising are often very serious und necessary, that doesn't mean it can't also be fun, as plenty of entry images have shown. In my view, however, this one really takes the biscuit - poking fun at yourself with silly costumes is sooo British! This image really made my day. Congratulation for being my winner.
