I love your image. It has everything that i was looking for in this competition. Its is well composed and the tight crop gives it impact and balance. I like that you have taken it looking over the shoulder so we can see what the character can see. Making it black and white has effectively dealt with the highlights in what looks to be strong sunlight. Overall a lovely image and congratulations on your top ten place.
She is fabulous, I like her very much and the composition is very pleasing. Taken down the avenue gives the image depth and perspective. I like the light and shadows on the statue which stops it being a flat image. It would have been lovey of the movement in the figure had been complimented by a more interesting sky and I would have loved to know her name and where she can be found in Oslo. Thank you for entering
A powerful image very well constructed, it caught my eye immediately. The depth of field makes us focus straight away on the central front figure whilst still giving lots of interest in the rest of the image. The slow shutter speed gives movement to the water but does not smooth it out too much so it looses all its detail. Many of the images submitted are; or would be; effective in black and white, not this one! It is the contrast of the grey statues against the Autumn colours that really makes this image outstanding. Congratulations on your first place.

The background vegetation blends perfectly with the simplicity of the sculpture to become a whole, that has been perfectly captured. The contrast between the vibrancy of the leaves on the tree and the grasses, along with the placement of the sculpture, all contribute to the effectiveness of this image. Thank you for entering and congratulations on your top ten place,

I would like to see your photos of garden sculptures. These can be in private or public parks and gardens. It would be interesting if you include information about where your images were taken and the title of the sculpture. I look forward to seeing your entries.

A very powerful subject makes this one of my favourite sculptures. It works very in black and white and the sculpture is a nice contrast to the softness of the planting behind it. I do feel it would benefit from a tighter crop, which would give the sculpture even more impact, and the bus in the background is a slight distraction. Perhaps a slightly different angle might have been able to eliminate this. Thank you for entering, I do like it very much.
This made me smile because I really dislike Henry Moore, but it is a really very good image. The composition is spot on with good placement of the sculpture, great contrast of the sculpture with the sea, lots of interest in the sky and all set off with the green vegetation creeping on the edges of image. Thanks you for entering it in my competition.
