Another image that grabbed me from the start. Again, I love the stark contrast of the B&W processing and I think the composition is spot on. I like the evenly spaced leaves on the stems and you have kept it simple without unnecessary clutter. I think, overall, it has worked very well, congratulations and many thanks for entering.
I love this image. It grabbed me the moment I laid eyes on it. I like the fact you have it in B&W and that the image appears to have been softened somewhat. There's good contrast here also and - overall - it is simple with no real 'clutter', and I am a big fan of keeping it simple. It's another of those shots that most would not consider taking, and I'm a fan off such shots also. Well done, congratulations, and many thanks for entering.
Once I had a blown-up version of this shot up on my screen one word kept coming back to me...intriguing. It's very refreshing that, when considering processing this image, you have managed to keep away from the big detailed, defined 'angry' sky that too many people, in too many instances - in my opinion - like to go for. Such a sky would have completely detracted from the grass in this shot. I'd be interested to see the original image, but I don't suppose that will be possible! Brilliantly processed and nicely composed. Many thanks for entering.
I like the processing on this image. I wasn't quite sure of the amount of exposure to start with, but I think it works, certainly on my home monitor anyway. I like the composition and the fact you have turned down the sharpening to create a softer image. Its different and I like different. Well done and many thanks for entering.
A nicely composed shot, with bags of contrast which I very much like. This was another image that immediately grabbed me the moment I saw it and which narrowly missed out on the top 10. Again, it's different from what many might consider to be a 'standard' shot of grass and it is all the better for it. Very nice and many thanks for entering.
Of course it's the stark contrast between the perfectly exposed grass and the black background that does it in this picture. Any detail in the background of any kind, I feel, would certainly have detracted from the subject. The way you have presented this picture fully enables the viewer to concentrate on the main subject...and it's simple. Very nice and many thanks for entering.
It was the contrast that first made me look twice at this image. Overall the exposure is very good and I love the composition, especially of the sun's position within the shot. It's good to see that you have managed to retain maximum detail in the bottom third of the picture, difficult under the circumstances I think. Well done and many thanks for entering.
The colours made me sit up and take notice of this image. You mention the word 'calming' in your own description and I would agree wholeheartedly - the colours and the overall dream-like quality make this picture stand out. Again, I think the composition is spot on and the bokeh is very pleasing indeed. Very nice. Many thanks for entering.

For this contest I want to see pictures of grass. It can be any type of grass but the main focal point of the picture must be grass. Creativeness in this competition will be rewarded. Again, that's the brief, nothing complicated. Let's see what you can come up with.

Out of all the pictures entered into this competition of droplets of water on blades of grass, this is the stand out one for me. I think the processing is superb and I love the dream-like quality you have afforded it. I think the composition is spot on and I like the overall simplicity of it. Very nice and many thanks for entering.
