I love almost everything about this photograph. Your hammock fills the frame without overpowering it. The lighting is superb, suggesting a relaxing end to a fulfilling day. I love the way the ends of the fringe radiate the sunlight, making it appear to drip with light. The central area of sharp focus and blurred edges really draws the viewer into the scene. Nicely done and congratulations on earning 1st place .

What a wonderful history lesson about life aboard the world's most famous warship. I love the different sizes and types of rope you captured in this photograph. Like the crew itself, each rope had a special job to do and you can't help but wonder about the function of each one. Great angle and lighting that captures the hammocks beautifully.
This is a lovely portrait with a sensual overtone. The model is posed expertly, and the facial expression is full of mystery. Beautiful skin tones with the hint of sun kisses across the nose and cheeks. I love the piercing forward gaze of the eyes. Perfectly framed shot with just the right amount of hammock showing to provide visual interest. Well done!
This is an interesting picture that captures the imagination. I wonder about the subject and the reason for the surgical mask. Is this a doctor worn out after a long day of work or a person with a compromised immune system who can't afford exposure to germs. The flowery sandals below the hammock seem out of place for the rocky surroundings. Very nice picture, but I wish you had an included a title and some background information.

In this contest I am looking to see your photos of hammocks. Whether hung beneath a tree or on a stand, a hammock is a great place to slow down and to relax. Entries can be in colour or black and white.
I don't normally care much for photographs where the main subject is small compared with the surroundings. But your picture is a wonderful exception. The surrounding buildings compliment rather than overpower the hammock. I love the colors and play with light and shadow that pulls the viewers attention right to the hammock. This photo might have been improved with a little straightening in editing and even a slight amount of cropping. That being said, it is a great capture and worthy of recognition.
Nice photo. This looks like a wonderful place to relax. I must admit, on first glance I thought the canopies were additional hammocks, one stacked onto of the other (something akin to bunkbeds). You mention a row of hammocks, but I only saw two. Perhaps you have another angle that shows more. Thanks for your entry.
