I really like this photograph, however I feel if the child was looking towards the camera, it would fit the brief more accurately and add to the drama of the shot. I like the use of black and white here too. I would have been tempted to bring him forward one more barrier and take the wall in the background out of the frame for a more powerful shot. Nevertheless, nice shot and well done.
What struck me about this photograph initially was the big ears and orange eyes. It invites you into seeing inside the wild dog's mind. I do think that the frame is slightly cluttered however and would benefit from a tighter crop. I notice you shot at 120mm rather than the full 150mm that your lens would allow. The log gives the context of being hidden so I understand why you have chosen to use it, but I feel this image would be more powerful tighter in. Well done!
I really like what you have done in this composition. I think the head and book protruding from the top of the chair is excellent. What I think would have made this even better would be the removal of the subject's dress from the left and right of the chair, so it would appear to literally just be her head in frame. I also am wondering what the background is, as I cannot clearly tell, which adds mystery, but I do think it is slightly distracting from the overall colour and warm texture this image lends. Well done though!

For this contest, I am looking for photographs showing a subject that is partially or almost fully hidden within the frame. An example being an animal that is seeking safety within long grass with only its head protruding through. The image can be either colour or black and white with the subject being any animal, human or object that best fits this brief. I will be judging this contest on creativity, the use of colour, texture, composition and technique applied to take the photograph. Good luck and happy hunting.
