Impressions of Arabia

A photo of a coffeeshop, that invites the eyes to walk around. No focus-point and no color, usually a "no-go", let the viewer start to explore and not just look. The photographer used some HDR-techniques, but he/she used it wisely. This phote is living.

This photo plays perfectly with light, schadow and forms. The shadows are flat enough to keep the mood calm. This goes very well with the round walls and the lack of color. The lamps, especially the left one, do not disturb this mood. A really good and impressing abstract photo.

I like the light in this foto, that keeps on shining even in the distance. Its not perfectly sharp, but this goes well with the mood of the picture, which is highly infuenced by the smooth reflections in the water.

It was difficult to choose just ten good photos, there are much more. But it was (for me) quite easy to choose the number one. Really great shot, perfect composition and color, I love it. Although, the eyes and a bit of the hair makle me doubt, if the woman really is arabic.

Of course the dessert must have its place in this contest. There are some more very good desert.shots, but this one impressed me. The sun stood low and brought mighty shadows, powerful colors and sharp contrasts. This photo catched it perfectly. .
