Congratulations on a winning shot. I just love the texture and form captured in the picture. The tonal ranges are really nicely captured with good lighting. The subtle tones in background also really work. simple but a Lovely winning shot, it definitely reminds me of edward weston well done
A kept coming back to this shot and it really screams edward weston. A simple everyday object shot in a pleasing way that's also really interesting. I love the tones the texture the lighting and the natural way the mushoom is placed allowing us to see the gills and the stem. well done a winning shot

Love the abstract nature of this shot, the water droplets add interest and the contrast in the images works very well. The bright lillys on the dark water with just a little bit of tone in the water looks great. I don't think edward weston shot any lillys but if he did this is type of shot he would be happy with ..Congrats on a great winning image.
Pears were featured a lot in the contest and i'm not sure edward weston every shot a pear but if he did he would be very pleased with a shot like this. The crop and positioning is particularly well thought out and the soft clean gradient on the background allows the texture of the pears to really stand out. The stems then add an addition level of interest making this a great winning shot, well done
The form and shape of the Dandelion works particularly well. It was a common featured plant in the contest and this is one of the best shots of the plant. I love the macro composition and the depth of field is spot on with a focus on the front and then falling out of focus. A great winning shot well done
Edward Weston was definitely fascinated in the mathematical shapes in nature like the logarithmic spiral. And this is a great example of a pleasing form that appears in nature. There were lots of submissions of natuluis and other shells and fossils but this one really stands out. I like the tight crop and the lighting to emphasise the texture and shape. A very pleasing image that very edward weston, well done
Shells as you might expect were featured heavily in the contest and this one really stood out as it was a bit different and really interesting. A clever use of shutter speed to create the movement around the shell which i guess is water whilst retaining the sharpness in the shell is great. In westons day he would have probably had to use a tripod to capture this but perhaps in body stabilization has helped, either way its a fantastic shot well done on a winner
A beautiful and delicate image of a rose. A well composed image with a nice shallow depth of field with the main focus on the middle of the petals. The tonal range and lighting add to the soft fee to this image which works really well. Edward weston photography featured similar shapes found in nature so this image hits the brief. Well done on a winning shot

Before entering this contest, please take a look at this gallery of Edward Weston's still life images. Edward Weston was an American photographer known for his modernist approach to still life photography. He was interested in capturing the abstract qualities of simple objects, often using close-up shots and strong lighting to emphasize texture, form, and tone. His images are often minimal and elegant, and are considered masterpieces of 20th-century photography. Using Weston’s still life photography for inspiration, what have you created with a similar look and feel? We are not constraining ourselves to black and white imagery in this contest.
A fantastic abstract image using nature and the leaves to create a very interesting and visually pleasing image. the shapes are great and the contrast movemenment and macro format allows the perfect amount of detail combined with movement, it really grabbed my attention. Congratulations on a great image
