Well spotted, well composed and well processed. This is the kind of scene/ image many of us would walk past or photograph the main subject of the church but you've identified and captured this composition so well with the ironic message and leading lines to the main subject. I also like the earthy colours and gritty processing here. Well done and keep up the great work!
I had a handful of images submitted that focussed on this exact gate, and as great as it is (and very ironic) this was the best of the bunch. I like the composition of this more than the others, the autumn colours and leading path all giving context to the scene. Well done and keep up the great work!
This is an image which is as ironic as the word itself, it has lots of irony! The building, white washed windows, scruffy street all finished off by the compsition and perfectly placed runner. The B&W conversion works so well for a harsher feel, I think that if it were colour it'd have too many distractions pulling you away from the main message. Well done and keep up the great work!
By far one of my favourite images, it leaves me wondering whether the poor busker knew he was pitched against this huge image. I also like the secondary message with the text 'there is only one'! I just wished you would have captured him playing too, netherless, it is still a fab image and fits the 'ironic' category perfectly. Well done and keep up the great work!
This is great, and very different from the many images submitted into the competition. This has both elements, the 'sign' (the point of engagement) and the subject (the two rule breakers) - all held together well with a great composition and black and white conversion. Well done and keep up the great work!

Photos full of irony can be humorous or thought-provoking. Maybe you present an image of a tow truck hauling another tow truck or you notice a descriptive sign in a place that does not quite seem to fit. When it comes to ironic photos, a keen eye is needed along with a quick wit.
