As soon as I saw this image I knew it would feature in my top 10. Everything comes together with the Milky Way clearly visible and the exposure on St Michael's Mount shows enough detail without being burnt out. I almost feel compelled to try this myself when I go to Cornwall in the summer.

There were several good images of poppies. However, this was my favourite. I just loved the composition with the lone tree to draw the eye and the clouds. I'd like to have known exactly where this was taken, but it really does look like England so I've given it a place in the top 10, as Woulds are usually in England.

For this contest I want to see photographs showing landscapes of England. Images should depict the outdoors, but not urban landscapes with buildings as the main subject. Photographs of the countryside, farmland, parks, coastal scenes, woodland etc. are all fine, as long as the main subject matter shows plant life. Animals or buildings can be included in the image but should not be the main subject. Only landscape photographs taken in England will be judged, so please indicate where the photograph was taken in the title and/or image description.

I really liked the idea behind this image, especially the tiny figure showing the huge size of the cliffs. However, I'm not sure about the square format which effectively cuts the picture in half. Cropping off most of the sea would give a stronger image. My opinion anyway, someone else might disagree.
I liked the colours in the foreground and the idea of this image. However, the burnt out sun in the centre top of the image is too distracting. May be worth cropping out most of the sky which immediately improves the focus on the main part of the image which is the flowers, but keeps the effect of the light produced by the sun breaking through the clouds.
