I chose this image because it has a great energy and a fun sense of humour. Good technically, freezing the movement and well balanced exposure is not always that easy to achieve. It would have been perfect for me if the full shadow had been captured too. But great job!

I really like the concept and feel of this image, however, the leg warmers let it down a bit for me as they draw my eye too much from an otherwise very elegant overall image. Styling can be a make or break element of an image.

I like the composition used here, leading line, coming from the right third. I feel that better focus on the subject at the front would have improved the overall image. A faster shutter would have kept the focus and removed an motion blur, 1/160th instead? Good eye though!

There is a sense of great joy here and a lovely energy to this image. The black and white conversion works really with this image, it draws the eye well to the main subject and the use of wide angle lens helps create motion. Great capture!

I'm drawn to this image due to the bold colours, both from the dancers and the buildings. Vibrant and bold image. The image missed focus, the buildings are the focal point which slightly lets the overall image down. But great eye for colour and impact!

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 1 and 250 in this week’s Leaderboard.** A celebration of dance! From waltzes to raves, barn dances to moshing. How have you photographed dance? With a slower shutter speed that conveys the blurred energy and movement, or a faster shutter speed that freezes the action and shows us the emotion on the dancers’ faces?
