Light at night

My favourite part about this photo is its simplicity. The light tells all of the story in this photo from the bright areas and subtle undulations in the snow, to the long shadows that all of the trees cast that pull the viewer right in to this shot.

I love the depth of this scene and how the light really helps draw attention to all that's going on. The combination of the gorgeous landscape in the background along with the lighting on the foreground make this an amazing photo.

I really like the night time story that this photo starts to tell. The street along with the dimly lit buildings along the background definitely help bring you in to the shot. The one thing that holds me back in this photo is the street lamp that's right up front. It's so bright and so much a part of the foreground in this photo, that it makes it difficult to really settle in to this one and enjoy the rest of the scene.
