Light Shows

There were many amazing images in this competition, which made judging very difficult.
You can see from the number of commended images that I had a difficult task. However, after deliberations I've decided that this image taken at Kew Gardens is the winning image. I went there a week or two ago and know how difficult it is to get the right image. This one ticks all the boxes. Well done.

This is an amazing image of a firework display and in a firework competition could have been a winner. However, the brief for this competition clearly stated the lights had to be man-made light shows, and not fireworks or the Northern Lights or lightning strikes. Keep taking amazing photographs and entering competitions, but please read the brief.

Quite different from the winning image, but this is amazing in its own right with the colours, the detail in the sky and the reflections in the water. I've been ti Whitby but never seen it like this. Well done for capturing these colours.
