Lit Candles

Congratulations for second place. This image is so beautiful. I love how delicate it is, the candle just floating in the water, and although the background is blue, I feel such warmth from this image. The colours in this is brilliant and also the depth of field really helps the candle stand out. Well done

Congratulations for first place in my competition. Everything about this photo is beautiful. The candles stand put so well, the glow of light hitting the person looks lovely and I also love the backlighting around her head. It also makes a really interesting photograph seeing the girl lighting the candles while wearing a mask seen as lighting a candle is generally a praying type of thing. Well done

Well done for getting into my top 10. The thing that stands out in this image is the warm glow that the candle has given to his face. Candles make such lovely lighting. The candle has been placed in just the right place so it doesnt cast horrible unwanted shadows and so you can see his eyes which can be an important part of a portrait. Well done
