This image pretty much sums up what I had in mind, when I put the brief together for this contest. London is well known for its iconic landmarks, along with bustling crowds of sightseers and commuters.
Here, we not only have one of London’s most well known attractions (I still call it Big Ben), the photographer has managed to mindfully expose the shot to capture the hustle & bustle of people traffic. But it doesn’t end there! Like many good street photos, there is a story that the viewer can interpret for themselves. The couple captured admiring the landmark, reminds me that sometimes when it feels like life is whizzing by, we occasionally need to take time to pause and appreciate the beauty that is around us.
For that reason, I give this image my highest award. Well done

What is London, without the red bus? This image is just SO London!
The magnificence of St Paul’s Cathedral presence, towers behind the hustle and bustle of a day in London. The old red bus shares centre stage, and the photographer has taken care while composing the shot, so the the foliage of the tree acts as a frame to draw the viewer into the picture.
Well done
This relatively new viewpoint os St Paul's Cathedral is my current favourite. The colours and reflections are perfect. This composition has been executed extremely well, and again, proves that photography is more about the photographer than the tool. This smartphone photo is a perfect example
Well done
This image really does a good job of capturing the sheer magnitude and presence of St Paul’s Cathedral. The conversion to Black and White really works well. If the shutter was released just 1 second later, the persons would have been dead centre, and would have elevated this image even more.
A great image nonetheless
Well done
A bit of London old (Tower Bridge), and London new (The Shard)!
The magical colours from this Golden Hour shot, really seals a well thought out and composed image. The long-exposure is just right, smoothing out the Thames as well as allowing just the right amount of movement in the clouds to add that dynamic element.
Well done!

I really like this image. The reflection in the Thames is fantastic, and I like the “Gherkin” peeping out, almost centre of the picture. The wall in the bottom left is a little distracting and ideally (if it were possible) moving the camera slightly forward, with a wider focal length would have fixed that.. A healing/clone tool in a photo editor can remedy this too. However, this is still a fantastic photo.
Well done
I really admire the composition in this image. The photographer has taken time to pay great attention to detail, making sure all the lines from the all are parallel with the river line, as well as London Bridge. This is very pleasing to the eye.
I think the conversion to Black & White is perfect too. As too, is the choice for a long exposure, with fantastic lighting coming from behind the Shard.
Kudos
