This immediately jumped out at me - I knew I had found my winner! I may have been swayed as a donkey lover but the technical merit is undeniable. The crop is perfect focusing all the attention on the mischievious goings on. Tack sharp and beautifully exposed. I just love it - well deserved winner.

I asked for mischief and this one has it in bucketloads. Just look at that expression! I like the B&W treatment, leaving nothing to distract from the moment. The depth of field makes this shot with the subject being perfectly sharp. A tiny suggestion in the editing; would it be possible to remove or darken the little round highlight on the right hand edge which I find slightly distracting? Altogether a great entry. Well done.

I would like to see your best photos of people or animals up to mischief. This could be anything from a squirrel raiding the bird feeder, or children plotting something, to the kitten 'helping' with the knitting. The only criteria is it must portray mischief and cheekiness. Entries can be in colour or black and white with as little post editing as possible. I hope you have fun with the contest.
I kept coming back to this one, it is such fun and the epitome of 'mischief' but I do wonder if Sooty has the worldwide appeal that he has in Britain. The lighting is good, just catching the mischief in his eye, if that is possible with a puppet .... I hope your camera lens survived the set up! A well thought out, and executed, outside the box entry.
I don't know what is going on here, and I'm not sure I want to! However, I couldn't ignore the image as I like unconventional captures of unposed moments. It is very well done - the sense of movement in the dress but keeping the chap's expression totally in focus. The inclusion of the girl's leg adds to the story as does the graffiti and messy background. I am sorry to say that it is not an image that I like but it is very well executed and I just felt that I couldn't completely ignore it.
