Moose

So pretty. My dream photo is a moose getting a drink with his reflection showing in the water. This one is really close to that. Even with the powerful landscape the moose in silhouette is still the central figure in the shot. The color gives the feeling of a cool evening.

The composition of this is magic. You framed is perfectly leaving enough of the trail to give the feeling of distance and space. The starkness of the snow really brings the figure into sharp focus. Your handling of the lighting on the snow is masterful, it is really hard to keep that much white from getting glaring in the sun. The shadow of the moose ads depth to the shot.

This is a very active photo. The water dripping from the chin, the mouth chewing all give great movement to the photo. The lighting is good, the eye nice and clear and alive. The warm green of the blurred background gives an additional layer to this relaxed, feel good photo.

A really powerful reminder of the peril we as humans present to our 4 footed neighbors. We need to do better to not cause harm. I like the subtle light change in the upper left, kind of a light ray beckoning him back into the forest where he belongs.

You can feel her huffing and puffing as she races away from her pursuer. I like the starkness of the background, the muted colors help draw your eye to the central figures. Great capture of movement, nice and clear even from this distance.

I really like the treatment of the background in this shot. It gives a kind of fairy tale feel. The colors are wonderful. The lighting perfect. The focus on the central figure is super, the detail of his horns great. I like the softness of the ferns on the forest floor in contrast to the hard lines of the trees.
