I've chosen this photo as the winner because of the overall effect the image has on me. I love the rustic wall in the back ground, the bike looks stunning, the whole photo is crisp and in focus. And the guy facing backwards on the riders seat with his feet on the rear wheel eating the the final bit of an ice cream on a stick portrays the carefree image I associate with riding a motorbike.
I like this black and white image because of it's exceptionally clear and crisp focusing. The make of spark plug I can clearly see , the adjustment screw on the carburetor I can also see. The words on the badges I can see clearly and at the far end of the photo where the F10 aperture doesn't quite give enough depth of field I can still make out the stitching of the seat.

I like the overall image of this photo, the sad face on the boy looking out of the open window reflects the sad bike below which is in such a sorry state. The building is also in a sorry state matching the bike with its cracked rendering and the dirty glass panes where an area has been cleaned to look through.

This contest is for your photos of motorbikes and scooters. There can be more than one motorbike or scooter but try to make sure the focus is just on one. Photos can be in colour or black and white.
This shot again I think is exceptional considering the low light the photographer had to deal with. The slow shutter speed and wide aperture made this fast moving shot very difficult, it made the background nicely blurred but the photographers panning during the shot managed to capture a crisp and very nearly in focus image.

My third place goes to this exceptional shot of a rider taking a sharp right hand bend, The dust in the background slightly blurs it bringing the bike and rider out in the image, the riders knee is down on the tarmac, the toes of his right foot are high on the footrest stopping them hitting he floor, three of the fingers of his right hand are on the brake lever suggesting he has been trail braking with his front brake going into the corner. Finally his eyes are firmly fixed on his exit point out of shot on the other side of the track.
My second place goes to this photo and again it's the overall image like. I'm immediately drawn to the light at the end of the tunnel, then my attention follows the fading light along the rustic walls where I find the perfectly placed scooter and finally I'm drawn back to the light at the end of the tunnel following the the lines on the floor
