I’m drawn to this image as reading from your entry details, this is a recent photo, however this has such an analogue photography approach that needs to be commended. Birthday cakes are nostalgic for most, and it's iconic mid-slice/almost consumed state hints so much about the image narrative. Clever approach and take on this contest!
Great landscape and studio set up, the production detail are recognisably professional and have captured this excellently. I’d be interested to know your lighting set up in this session and how well you controlled it. The colours are luminous and have strict direction, following the shape of the prism.
I really like your use of layers within this landscape. The detail included is incredible, the bubble wrap diffuses the multitude of colour pattern in the distance. Great experimentation on separation of the foreground & background,
Next time, play with other textural materials with conflicting patterns.
Congratulations! This portrait immediately caught my eye, for a lot of factors. A Multicoloured theme, allows for much creativity. With the clear blue sky, floating characters and your model looking in the distance with a homemade cape, your capture is very dream like however in a reality sense. You have directed the balance of light well to not leave deep shadows on your model too. Beyond the narrative, the colours are iconic with the characters featured. Well done!

Thank you for submitting this great still life, it responds well to the contest's theme in its construction and colour coordination. In your production details, I'd suggest shooting these items separately and build it all together in post. This will extend your creativity and allow experimentation with placement. Good job!

Thank you for entering this contest! I found your image very reminiscent of early 2000s photography with your use of flash lighting. With the iconic Union Jack and yellow text, it falls under the 'Cool Britannia' movement. I'd be interested to see your approach to more Northern influences in your portraits. Good job!
This portrait has so much joy captured with your model. This is the fun side of documentary photography, you've balanced it as an innocent moment with styling involved, such as the coordination of the blues to interrupt the deep reds of the sofa. I suggest you look into the work of Martin Parr, he has used similar techniques to yours and wide themes. Well done!
I commend your high production use for the result of this image. Studio lights, set design, styling to create narrative and a collective colour pallet. Well done, it’s fun and could be experimented further in the series with other identifiable landscapes and different clothing items. Have fun with it!

When one colour just isn’t enough… This might just create the most uplifting gallery of imagery that you’ll see on Photocrowd this year! Monotone this is not, and nuance and understatement may be taking a back seat. What are the multicoloured things, people and places you’ve been photographing lately?
I love the cinematic value this landscape shows, heavy colour theory featured with the reds, yellows, and black. We all know the iconic relevance of these colours and testimonials of how it draws the public in with the attractive combination. I’d suggest looking at the photographer, Robert Frank, and his America series. Well done!
I want to emphasise this image for your quickness to capture this wonderful subject. To further the theme of Multicoloured, your colour coordination is absolutely on point. This is a skill adapted by yourself which is good for natural capturing, I appreciate the production detail and the journey you took to capture this moment. Serendipity!
