Splendid! I celebrate your creative approach to the portrait. It's good to see it all done in camera with your flash in one hand and camera in the other! This could be a film still or a frame grab a movie street scene. Great picture, we hope to see more from you!

This has some good qualities to it like the composition of your friend sitting to camera left and looking out. It's clearly a very sunny day and that harsh sunlight is difficult to control which has caused some highlight blowout across the cheeks and hat. One way to control this is to expose for the highlights which will give detail in those areas. The darker areas will look very dark but you can lift those shadows in post production to create a balance. Thanks for submitting and we hope to see some more in the future!

Some photos really transport the viewer to the scene. This is one of those shots. Its so raw and such a fleeting moment. It reminds me of the work of Jim Motram Uk photographer. Have a look at his work.

Family members are the best people to practice on! If they have the patience of course but looks like you have won that patience here. I like the depth of field you have played with, placing the branch in front of the model. It leads our eye straight in to them. Compositionally its a little off centre and I'd be tempted to try cropping some from the left side to centre her up a little. I think it would also work very well as a square crop. Great shot and keep going!

This has a very mysterious feel to it. Almost uncomfortably but I really like it! It's so different and poses questions about the person and where they are. Often photos of the back of people just don't don't work but this just does! I think his pose and adds to the success of it.

You've captured a wonderful moment with this photo. I love the composition you've chosen showing the sea of books they lay on top of together. It's a great submission with a wonderful narrative illustrating commitment, dedication and love from a mother.

Intriguing shot and I'd love to know how you've created the movement in it, long exposure or double exposure perhaps.... It has a feel of the 1970's to it with the colours and soft approach. Love the Hollywood sign at the top.

Stunning landscape and location for your portrait! I love the black and white tones you have created, there is so much detail in that background. The boy's concentration of course makes the shot! It's not an image you expect to see in such a place which makes it stronger and more engaging.

Brilliant. That's such a great happy moment. I can imagine you shot quite a few frames for this and struggled to edit the strongest one but either way its very good! Compositionally, the black and white conversion and tone are all great. I love the textured wall and of course the end result of the hard earned water make this my winner! Well done.

Great light on your subject which you've controlled brilliantly with your exposure keeping the detail in the highlights. The black and white conversion works well giving a balanced skin tone. You could try shooting with your aperture at f3.5 instead of f6.3 which will soften your background and help your model really pop out, especially with this kind of lighting. Nice shot.
