This is such a beautiful picture.... I love the quiet, corresponding colours of the clothes, and of course mainly the satisfied smile and look of the child into the camera. In most pictures of elderly with children in this contest it was the other way round. According to me, this picture even becomes stronger, with a nicer composition, when the right third part is cropped (cut away); that would make a square picture with a nice diagonal in it, Thanks for entering my contest!

Show me your photos that include both an old and a new (or young) subject. So, please no diptych photos with separate subjects, but one photo with both subjects in it. All subjects are allowed, for example buildings, cars, animals, etc. Photos in either colour or black and white are allowed. I am looking forward to your entries
There were many pictures of elephants in this contest. This is clearly my favorite. According to me, here counts "less is more"... by NOT showing the whole adult elephant the attention is drawn to the youngster, and because the size of the adult is left to the imagination of the viewer, the adult becomes huge... which makes the contrast between big/ old and small/ young even bigger. I like the square format of the photo (my favorite format) and the very little green detail in the center of the photo. Thanks for entering my contest!
Very nice picture... I like the bright colours, the distortion, the composition, with straight lines from the 'new part' and round shapes from the 'old'; making the contrast even bigger. The only thing that is a bit of a pity, is the fact that the left side of the building is touching the frame of the picture; some more blue sky would have made it nicer, according to me. Such a beautiful picture! Very, very nice... I like the fact that father and son both wear a hat, the contrast between the 'tattoo-d' and the 'clean' arms., and the view into the camera. According to me, the father is not 'old' enough to fit the brief of this contest, though! Thank you for entering this contest anyway.
I love this picture a lot. This must be a very precious photo for this family. It almost reached my top 10. There were two reasons why this did not happen: I thought the harsh shadows of the glasses of the two left persons were not so nice, and the big handwriting of the maker in the right corner is drawing too much attention,, according to me. Thanks for entering my contest!
This is a really nice picture. I love the loving and caring smile. This definitely was a very special moment. Good catch! According to me, the picture becomes even stronger/ more quiet when the left part (with furniture and plant) and upper part (upper book shelf) is cut off, so the main subject is drawing áll the attention.
