Clever use of a drone to fulfil this brief. Looking at the world from this aerial perspective is a great way to explore the order of our world. This can be seen perfectly in this striking image. Like a lot of the images in this category, it's the small disruptions to the 'order' that add to the image.
Excellent capture. The tight, structured composition has been carefully considered. I know from my own experience that making an image like this with careful attention to vertical and horizontal lines is not as easy as it looks. I love the colour harmonies that the different-hued containers bring to the composition.
The relationship between the figure with the umbrella and the wonderful architectural shapes is delightful. The shapes and tones reverberating around the frame are lovely and keenly seen. The decisive moment with the two figures is also nicely timed. And the lovely tonal rendering is the icing on the cake.

We like to order and organise the things that surround us, bringing some control over a world that naturally tends to disorder when left unattended. Some animals do the same, and nature itself can be seen as an organising system. Images submitted to this contest can show examples of any of these, regardless of what has been ordered and organised, or who or what has done it.

This clever image works on so many levels. I love that it feels like a tree with the yellow paint over the crack in the paving acting as a trunk. A profound image that speaks to humanity's relationship with nature and perhaps a return to the natural order of things. I don't know, but the ambiguity it suggests is a delight.
