A great image, with neat and orderly rows of chairs laid out and ready for the audience. It is up to the viewer to ask the purpose of the chairs, or maybe create their own narrative to the scene. I love the tones of the image, with low contrast and low saturation that help convey the emptiness of the space. Congratulations on your third place finish.
A great composition, capturing this welcoming bench in beautiful green and leafy surroundings by a calming waterfall. I love the crop of the image, ensuring the frame is filled entirely by the subject, with no tree tops or sky that could distract and draw the eyes upwards. The greens all look nice and natural, which can often be difficulf to get right. Great image, well done on your top ten placing.
A great image, recognisable but still abstract. Great tones and textures on the wooden slats, perfectly composed with an interesting viewpoint, shooting down low close to the level of the bench to allow the lines to pull the eye rapidly through the frame to a vanishing point in the top right corner. Great image, well done on your top ten placing.

On the face of it a simple composition, but one that has lovely balance and creates a mood of peace and calm. I love the curving arch of the tree leaning across towards the bench, with enough of the tree included to show its structure, without moving too far out which would have reduced the size of the seat in the frame. Lovely textures in the wall and ground surface, working well in a great black and white image. Congratulations on your second place finish.

In this contest I am looking for your photos of seating photographed outdoors. The setting can be urban or rural, and can include anything from a solitary bench or deckchair to tiers of seats in a stadium. The seating must be a key feature of the image and it must clearly be in an outdoor setting. Photos can be in colour or black and white. I look forward to seeing your entries.
