A great image, recognisable but still abstract. Great tones and textures on the wooden slats, perfectly composed with an interesting viewpoint, shooting down low close to the level of the bench to allow the lines to pull the eye rapidly through the frame to a vanishing point in the top right corner. On the face of it a simple composition, but one that has lovely balance and creates a mood of peace and calm. I love the curving arch of the tree leaning across towards the bench, with enough of the tree included to show its structure, without moving too far out which would have reduced the size of the seat in the frame.
