Painterly Reflections

This eye catching image is too full of various colors not to pay attention. It showcases all the primaries without overkill. While I fully appreciate soft and muted tones, vibrant color is hard to resist. It fits the brief perfectly as focus is the reflection itself with a painterly effect. This image "wowed" me the instant I saw it. I love not only the image itself, but the obvious interest in the detail and attention of this photograph. Another thing that struck me, is that it has captured the painterly effect perfectly, yet maintains clarity. It is absolutely beautiful and my choice for 1st place. This is truly an exceptional photo. Firstly, I love the fact that it is a puddle reflection with this much clarity, makes it stand out for me. . While lighting is important in any photo, the fact that it looks to be evening, has a special appeal. I would have liked to have seen more of the painterly effect but great job overall and I appreciate you entering the contest.

We want our photos to grab the attention of the viewer and this does it in spades! At least it did me. Viewing a reflection at the edge of a waterfall is a brilliant concept! The muted tones do not detract from it in any way. It is truly a work of art. Thank you for entering it into the contest.
