I deliberated long and hard over the winner of this competition for sure. The viewing of this shot on a desktop PC brings out the wonderful detail and sharpness you've captured. I absolutely love the cloud formation and the warmth of the sunset...but what does it for me are the silhouettes of those sailing craft captured against the golden glow on the horizon. Well done indeed and congratulations on your winning shot!

Let me see your panoramic format photos in which the main focus is the sea. A panoramic format shot should be at least twice as wide as it is high. Other features may be included such as boats, land, harbours and such like, but the key element of your shot should be the sea and objects related to it. Images that contain bodies of water other than the sea, such as lakes or rivers are not on brief. I look forward to seeing and judging your entries.

Another shot that, when viewed on the desktop Mac, reveals some subtle and wonderful detail that, perhaps, we wouldn't appreciate when viewed on other devices. The cool tones with the faint warmness of the sun on the distant mountains works very well and I do like the softness and relative lack of contrast you have here. Well done and my thanks for your entry.
What a refreshing change - a shot that appears to have had minimal processing.... and yet still captures the more dramatic side of nature. I love the cool tones and washed out colours and, with the fast shutter speed, the capture and freezing of the waves and resulting spray. Lovely, and my thanks for your entry.
A shot I particularly liked the moment I saw it. The bleakness, relatively high contrast and graininess you have here all come together really quite well for a wonderfully atmospheric shot....and all centred around the figure with the brolly. I also think the telegraph poles add an extra and welcome dimension. My thanks for your entry.
