Parts of Animals in Colour

I absolutely love this entry - I asked for imagination and clarity, you couldn't have given me more. The very smallest improvement I could suggest would be to remove the pale triangle in the bottom right corner of the background - I find my eye being drawn to it. Thank you for entering this beautiful, but amusing image.

Just the sort of entry I was hoping for! Beautifully sharp every loose hair and speck of dust is in focus - I want to give him a good groom! I love the simplicity and the colours are very natural. The crop is absolutely perfect - a great image, I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you.

This is an outstanding photograph. It is so sharp but without looking 'overdone'. I love the composition and the colours are extremely complimentary to the lovely soft background. If I were to be super critical I might suggest shaving a tiny strip of the left hand side to remove the slightly distracting shadows. A wonderful entry thank you.

This image just completely blew me away - it was very hard to stand out in this challenge, the standard was so high. This is absolutely tack sharp and I am fascinated by the reflections in the water droplets. I like the simplicity of the composition. Altogether an outstanding entry. Thank you.

I kept coming back to this one - such a simple, stylish photograph. I was looking for clarity and imagination, you have scored on both parts. The lighting is excellent, I love the rim of the ear. The black background treatment makes this image outstanding. It must have been difficult to achieve this edit as I guess Zebras don't visit studios too often! Thank you.

I have to say I am a Bryan Adams fan too ... this was a strong contender for my top spot. The clarity and composition are exceptional, I like the position of the eye making it the centre of attention. The colours are beautiful and the black background treatment just accentuates them. I find this a very striking picture - it very nearly made it into my top 10! The colours are perfect and I guess it was a lucky moment? It is very sharp and well composed, my only slight comment would be maybe to shave a little off the left hand side - I find the edge of the plank a bit distracting. Overall it is a good , clean image with a minimal modern twist I love it, well done

This one just couldn't be ignored - what an impact, I find it slightly scary! You have handled a difficult depth of field with great skill each feather is clearly defined, the focus is still on the eyes but you have hardly lost anything on the tip of the beak. I love the natural colours. A great entry, thank you.

A lovely study of an everyday subject - it was extremely difficult to stand out in this challenge, the standard was so high and there were very many cat models - but this one has it all. Tack sharp, the catchlight in the eye and the off centred composition made it stand out. If I were to be really picky I would like to see the three light patches in the black background darkened down. If I was this cat's owner I would want this on my wall - well done.

I like the sense of humour in this entry. I don't know why, after all, a tail is as much a 'part of an animal' as every other entry. The composition is good, as is the focus .. but it just doesn't quite make my Top 10. Thank you for making me laugh.

I have to come clean - I will never resist a hairy lurcher! Technically this wasn't quite the photo that was going to make it into my Top 10 - but that doesn't mean to say it wasn't my favourite! Only a fellow Lurcher owner would understand - this is just such a typical "Lurcher Moment" I hope it does well for you in other Challenges.

This comical entry just made me laugh - a real feel good photo. The composition is excellent and the colours are complimentary, it's hard to make a grey subject against a grey background work but this shot of an Ostritch's tonsils with the backlight picking out the colour of the throat really nailed it. I love it, thank you.
