This is an amazing photo. The lights shining under the early morning mist add a nice bit of colour that takes your eye around the picture. I think the chimneys might be part of Hope cement works and you have managed to turn, what is arguably a blight on the landscape, in to something very beautiful - well done.

I think this image is amazing. As soon as I saw it I knew it was going to be in my top ten. The diagonal banding caused by the sun shining through the mist makes for a very dramatic, almost abstract image - well done.

Great Photo. I love the way the sun glints off the tarmac as the road disappears into the distance. The low angle of the sunlight gives fantastic depth to the photo as it casts deep shadows from the hills and contours. The virtual monochromatic landscape in shades of green also serves to make this a very dramatic image - well done.

You can't have a competition of images of the Peak District without a photograph of the millstones at Stanage edge. This was the best example with good composition. A great use of depth of field and a wide angle lens capturing the millstones in the foreground and the beautiful landscape beyond.

I love this grey, misty, high key image. There is virtually no blacks in the photo making it look very surreal. The softening effect of the mist gives it a very serene and dream like quality. I also like the brave composition of placing the subject over to the left and leaving most of the right side of the image fading into misty white.

A more unusual way of photographing the stepping stones at Dovedale. It is difficult to come up with a unique way of photographing a well known subject and making it stand out from the crowd. The use of a slow shutter speed and the low angle really work well at giving a different perspective to this well known tourist spot.
