People and their Shadows

Congratulations on coming 1st place in my shadow competition. As soon as I saw it, It reminded me of peter pan, how at the start of the story he has lost his shadow, and his shadow has a mind of its own. In your image thats exactly what it looks like. Like the shadow has decided to sit away from the boy, having its own identity. Its also a wonderfully shot image. Great composition and great black and white tones. Well Done.

This one really caughty eye for the amount of shadows in the image. Its just a great shot with the striped lines of sunlight and the shadows of the people all showing in that light. Its very interesting to see and for me, capturing interesting subjects is a big part of photography. Congratulations for being in my top 10!

Congratulations on being in my top 10. This is a wonderful image that makes you stop and really look at it. I love the shadows, the shadows almost look like the people, but then the people are actually shot from above so you can only really see the top of them. I think the fact you have shot down is really creative. The fact you have captured the girl pointing really makes for an interesting shadow. I love that they are composed within the door way arch and I love the high contrast to the image. Well done!

I found it so difficult to choose my last few winning images as there was so many good ones. But yours my eye just kept going back to. I can tell that you waiting for the perfect moment to take the image so then the shadow was in the perfect spot, and it really is in the perfect spot. I like your composition of putting the guy in the bottom corner too. I also feel the stairs steps above him lead your eye down onto him. Congratulations for making my top 10.
